Scout of the Month
Sleepy Hollow Team is looking to reward girls monthly for going far and beyond. What is the definition of going far and beyond as far as team is concerned: helping someone outside of family, putting someone’s needs before self, it truly made a difference in someone’s life, to have an impact on someone’s life, and more. Please explain to your girls how to earn the scout of the month award. Doing your chores, carrying groceries in for mom or grandma, cleaning your family’s yard, helping your sibling with homework is not going to qualify because that is your responsibility as a family member.
Each scout of the month will get a certificate and a medal necklace with the engraving of “Scout of the Month”. We are going with the necklace for opportunity, the girls will be ask to wear their necklace to girl scout events including camp, for continuing recognition, bragging rights, and to get the others girls wanting to know how they can get one.
