Girl Scouting Around The GLOBE
October
Service Unit Event
This is our opportunity to celebrate "Daisy's," Juliette Gordon Low, Birthday. She is the founder of Girl Scouts of America. We will be accepting gifts in her honor for the World Friendship Fund.
This event will be focused on the world wide movement of the advancement of girls. Each troop is to choose a Country that is a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and display a "booth" or table that will represent that country with facts, photos, cultural ideas, etc. Also the troop is to create a life size paper doll dressed in the Girl Scout or Guide Uniform from that Country. There will be prizes awarded for the most creative and best booth and doll.
