Subject: FW: MUST Ministries
Ladies Tracey has sent this to me and asked to get it to you.  a great and easy service project.... let me know if you will plan to participate.

    Thanks  Barbara

Barbara and Robin,

I received this email from Cobb Faith Partnership (Kathy Grosskurth) on MUST Ministries. If possible, could you please send it on to all our GS leaders. This is an "easy" service project (collection of food items) that will benefit the community. You mentioned that our leaders (including my own troop) are not doing enough or any service to the community. Well, here's their opportunity! If leaders will collect the items for MUST and bring them to the May Service Unit Meeting, then I will take them to MUST Ministries.

Thanks,
Tracey

Unfortunately, people think cookies when they hear Girl Scouts.

I think opportunities.

SUMMER LUNCH
Tues 5/29 through Fri 8/10
Through our Summer Lunch Program, MUST provides over 1,200 lunches each
weekday to Cobb County children who participate in the free school lunch
program. These children are often without healthy meals during the summer
break from school. With your support, this 'Kid's Meals on Wheels'
program will serve over 70,000 lunches this summer!

MENU
- Monday: peanut butter & jelly sandwich, corn chips, apple, juice box
- Tuesday: ham & cheese sandwich, pretzels, banana, juice box
- Wednesday: bologna & cheese sandwich, carrot sticks, brownie, juice box
- Thursday: ham sandwich, chips, dessert item, juice box
- Friday - turkey & cheese sandwich, potato chips, orange, juice box

VOLUNTEERS
- Packers: 9-11am weekdays, checking and boxing lunches for delivery.
- Drivers: 10:30am-1:30am weekdays, to deliver lunches. Background check required.
Youth ages 10-17 may volunteer at our location when accompanied by a
parent or in groups with a 1:7 ratio of adults to youth and a release form
signed by a parent.

LUNCHES NEEDED!
This project requires a huge amount of community support in order to meet
the tremendous need. Perhaps your church or civic group, co-workers or
neighborhood can provide lunches? Even a few lunches for one day helps!
To volunteer or schedule lunch donations, please email back or call us at
